How do I connect my CAR STOP?
The CAR STOP mounts to the ceiling, 2 to 3 feet in front of the garage door opener. The power adapter plugs into the same outlet as your garage door opener. A mounting kit is included with the unit. All electrical connections are plug-in simple.
What tools are needed to install the CAR STOP unit?
You will need the following items:
3/16" drill for plastic anchors
Small hammer to seat plastic anchors
Phillips Head screwdriver
Stepladder
If I incorrectly reverse the sensor and power plugs, will I damage the unit?
No. The unit will not work unless plugs are correctly inserted, but you will not harm the unit.
How long are the cords?
The power cord and sensor cord provided are each 6 feet long.
How big is the CAR STOP?
The size of the device itself is 3 1/2" long x 2" wide x 1 3/8" hihg. It weighs about 2 oz. The red laser dot is collimated to about dime size at a distance of 4 feet.
Will the laser dot harm my car?
There are no harmful effects to your car from the low-power laser beam. The laser power is under 5 milliwatts, which is about the same as the UPC reader in a grocery store.
What is the warranty?
The warranty for parts is for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase.
What makes the light go on?
The CAR STOP is activated when your garage door opener light comes on, and shuts off when your opener light shuts off. The unit will not work with a flourescent light. |
